This is a simple step-by-step guide explaining how to create a page in the Wiki.
First, make sure you have
created an account, written an mail to Mikkel Nygaard to be authenticated, and logged in.
With a logged in account do the following steps to create a page:
- Browse to the namespace you want to contribute to.
- Click "Create a new page".
- Give the page a title and some contents.
- Check off the relevant categories for your new page, or create new appropriate categories.
- Click "Save"
If you are composing a large wiki page, you can use "Save & Continue" to save your work on-the-fly.
When editing a page, you can use different modes for writing your text. The default mode is "WikiMarkup" which is shown as a tab right below the page title. The "WikiMarkup" mode enables you to use custom "codes" to format your text. The "Visual" mode is more like Word where you use the formatting bar for styling.
